Clarion Call Organizes Ramadan Conference 2025 in Dhaka

The popular English magazine Clarion Call , in collaboration with the youth organization Society for Student Development-SSD, organized the Ramadan Conference 2025 for English medium students in the capital.

The conference commenced at 4:30 PM on Sunday at the Celebrity Convention Hall in Gulshan, beginning with a recitation from the Holy Quran.

At the opening session, Colonel (Retd.) Ashraf Al Din, Editor of Clarion Call, addressed the students on the importance of the Quran in shaping their moral values. He stated:

“Ramadan is the month of Quranic revelation, and the Holy Quran was sent as guidance for mankind. To lead a meaningful life, we must read, understand, and implement its teachings.”

The keynote speaker, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Imam of Banani Central Mosque, emphasized the significance of fasting for the younger generation. He remarked:

“Ramadan teaches us self-restraint (Taqwa), which is essential in today’s world. Modern medical science has also recognized the numerous health benefits of fasting. Today, we see how fasting plays a vital role in disease prevention. Ramadan is an integral part of our history and traditions.”

Following the speeches, a special prayer was held for global peace and prosperity. The event concluded with Iftar and a formal dinner, after which students were presented with special Ramadan gifts.

The conference was attended by over 350 students, parents, teachers, and members of the Clarion Call and Society for Student Development.
